Fine jewellery is made to be worn. It is also made of precious metal and stone, and both respond to how they are treated.
Put it on last, take it off first. Perfume, creams and hairspray dull metal and cloud stones over time.
Keep pieces apart. Diamonds scratch everything, including other diamonds. Store each piece in its own pouch or compartment.
Avoid the pool and the gym. Chlorine attacks gold alloys. Knocks loosen settings.
Clean gently. Warm water, a drop of mild soap, a soft brush. Rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth. Never use anything abrasive.
Have settings checked. Once a year, we will inspect prongs, clasps and stones, clean the piece professionally and re-polish it if you wish. This is part of the Danelian service and it is offered without charge to our clients.
If a piece is damaged, do not attempt a repair elsewhere before speaking with us. We know how it was made and we can restore it correctly.
